This is a saying that graduates often hear this time of year: Your future is bright. For our graduates from Lighthouse Brunswick that is especially true and here is why.
It is bright for these young people because Jesus is shining through them. The reality is that they will face some very difficult and dark days in life. Anyone that has lived life for any length of time can testify to that. However, even in those dark days there will be the light of Jesus to guide them and direct their steps.
The future is bright for them because God has a plan that will bring them an inner peace that cannot be taken away. As Jesus stood before His disciples in all of their confusion following the resurrection, He said that He would give them not only peace but His peace. His will is for their good and His. He has no plans for harm or evil, because He wants them to succeed more than anyone else.
Finally, their future is bright because no matter the odds of success or failure in their chosen professions and life decisions they have hope. This not a hope so; it is a sure hope. Their hope is in Jesus and can anyone think of a better place to be?
So, graduates, every one of us here at Lighthouse call on you and implore you to SHINE! We look forward to seeing what God is going to do with each of you, and you will always have a family here. Walk daily with Jesus. Live a life dedicated to His personal call. Give your all to Him and Him alone!
